Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon dried butterfly pea flowers
  • 1 cup hot water not boiling
  • 1 tablespoon organic raw apple cider vinegar with “the mother”
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon raw honey or maple syrup for sweetness

Method
 

Steep Butterfly Pea Flowers
  1. Place dried butterfly pea flowers in a heatproof glass or mug. Pour hot (not boiling) water over them and steep for 5-7 minutes until the water turns deep blue.
Add Apple Cider Vinegar and Ginger
  1. To the blue infusion, add apple cider vinegar and freshly grated ginger. Stir well.
Add Lemon Juice
  1. Slowly pour fresh lemon juice into the mixture. Watch the color change from blue to purple or pink due to pH sensitivity. Stir until the color is even.
Sweeten (Optional)
  1. Add raw honey or maple syrup to taste. Stir until dissolved.
