Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Topping
  • 1/4-1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Layering
  1. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle half over the first layer of batter.
  3. Spread the remaining batter over the cinnamon sugar layer, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  4. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Let the cake cool for a few minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor. Pair with coffee, tea, or milk. For added sweetness, sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving. Consider adding fruits or nuts for variations.
