Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients and preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Season the steak generously with salt, pepper, and your choice of herbs.
- Wash and slice the potatoes into uniform pieces for even cooking.
- Prepare large squares of aluminum foil to wrap around your ingredients.
Assembly
- Layer the potatoes in the center of each foil square, then add the seasoned steak on top.
- Dot the steak and potatoes with pats of butter and fresh minced garlic.
- Add extra vegetables if using, followed by a sprinkle of additional herbs.
- Fold the foil over the ingredients, sealing the packs tightly.
Cooking
- Cook on the grill for about 20–30 minutes, checking for doneness periodically.
- Let the packs rest for a few minutes before unwrapping and serving.
Notes
For best results, check on your packs a few minutes before the suggested cooking time. Avoid overcooking the steak by using a meat thermometer.
