Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Thinly sliced beef (sirloin or flank steak)
  • 3 cups Bell peppers (red, yellow, and green) Sliced
  • 1 medium Onion Sliced
  • 1 cup Broccoli Cut into small florets
Seasonings and Aromatics
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Minced
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
Cooking Oil
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil or sesame oil
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup Snap peas Can be substituted with other vegetables
  • 1 cup Carrots Can be substituted with other vegetables
  • 1 cup Mushrooms Can be substituted with other vegetables

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and equipment.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  3. Add the thinly sliced beef, cooking it in batches to avoid overcrowding. Brown the beef for about 3-4 minutes, then remove it from the pan and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In the same pan, add another splash of oil if needed, then add sliced onions and garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  2. Toss in the bell peppers and your chosen vegetables, cooking until just tender but still vibrant in color.
  3. Return the beef to the pan and pour over the soy sauce, stirring to combine and allow flavors to meld.
  4. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken and coat the ingredients.
  5. Serve hot and garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the beef in soy sauce, garlic, and ginger before cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen for up to three months.
