Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars together in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in the caramel bits gently into the dough.
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, allowing space for spreading.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over each dough ball before baking.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra chewiness, chill the dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before baking.
